Jordan Hotels Association, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and Ministry of Tourism and antiquities Organized Awareness Workshop on Inspection and Regulatory Requirements for Hotel Establishments

The Jordan Hotels Association (JHA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Labor, and the Social Security Corporation, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Requirements and Procedures for Regulatory Oversight and Inspection of Hotel Establishments,” attended by a number of hotel managers and representatives from across the Kingdom.

At the beginning of the workshop, the Jordan Hotels Association welcomed the attendees and commended the efforts of the participating ministries and institutions, as well as their cooperation in preparing for and participating in the workshop. The Association emphasized the importance of such cooperation in strengthening direct communication between government and regulatory authorities and hotel establishments, while clarifying the relevant requirements and procedures.

The Association noted that the workshop forms part of a series of awareness workshops and meetings that it plans to organize in cooperation with the relevant government and regulatory authorities. These initiatives aim to raise awareness among hotel establishments of applicable requirements and procedures, address their inquiries, and discuss the challenges they face and ways to overcome them.

For his part, Eng. Mohammad Al-Khaldi, Director of the Economic Activities Regulatory and Inspection Unit, highlighted the importance of the Regulatory and Inspection Law in developing the regulatory and inspection framework for economic activities. He also outlined the measures undertaken by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply in this regard, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination with various economic sectors.

The workshop forms part of the Jordan Hotels Association’s efforts to enhance communication and coordination between the hotel sector and the relevant government and regulatory authorities, and to raise awareness among hotel establishments of applicable requirements and procedures. This contributes to facilitating compliance and corrective measures, as well as addressing the challenges faced by hotel establishments.

The Association also reaffirmed its continued commitment to representing the needs of the hotel sector and strengthening communication and networking between hotel establishments and relevant authorities and institutions. These efforts aim to support hotel establishments, enhance their capacity to comply and develop, and contribute to improving the working environment across the hotel sector.
