Launch Event of the National Water Conservation Plan

Amman - Jordan

The Jordan Hotels Association participated in the launch event of the National Water Conservation Plan 2024, officially launched by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Hussein Business Park.

The Jordan Hotels Association is collaborating with the USAID-funded Water Conservation Project, which supported the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in drafting this plan through collaboration with more than 200 participants from key sectors of the Jordanian economy. The plan aims to promote and support long-term water conservation and efficient use across various sectors. It represents a pivotal step towards securing the future of water in Jordan in line with the Economic Modernization Vision.

In addition to launching the National Water Plan, the Ministry of Water also introduced the distinctive creative identity “Water for Lasting Good,” which will facilitate access to high-efficiency water technologies and provide incentives to change behaviors at both the institutional and individual levels to improve water usage. The campaign invites every Jordanian to participate in the vital mission of water conservation by raising awareness about responsible water use and ensuring the transfer of water conservation principles to future generations, thus securing a legacy of abundance and sustainability for this vital resource. The creative identity is inspired by Jordan’s national heritage and addresses all sectors to instill this identity as a unique Jordanian water culture, particularly in high-consumption sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and industry.
