The Jordan Hotels Association, represented by Deputy Chairman Hussein Al-Helalat and Treasurer Mr.Taye Soufan, participated in a meeting held by the Parliamentary Tourism Committee at the House of Representatives. The meeting chaired by MP Wasfi Haddad, aimed to discuss the key challenges facing tourism associations in the Kingdom.
Hussein ِAl-Helalat expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Parliamentary Tourism Committee for inviting representatives of tourism associations, including the Jordan Hotels Association, and for listening to the challenges facing the sector in the current circumstances. He emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in finding practical and sustainable solutions to support the hotel sector and enhance its contribution to the national economy.
In the same context, Mr.Taye Soufan highlighted the urgent need for immediate support for the tourism sector, noting that the current conditions require financial and administrative assistance to address operational and economic challenges. He stressed the importance of encouraging investments in the sector and creating a supportive business environment for both local and international investors.
For its part, the Parliamentary Tourism Committee underscored the importance of finding fundamental solutions to overcome the challenges facing the tourism sector. Committee members reaffirmed their commitment to addressing industry concerns and working towards removing obstacles through necessary legislative measures that improve the tourism business environment. They also emphasized the need to promote Jordan’s tourist sites and enhance their visibility at both local and international levels.
