Jordan - Dead Sea
As part of its ongoing efforts to support sustainable practices and enhance the efficiency of the hospitality workforce, the Jordan Hotels Association organized a training workshop on Monday, April 20, 2026, titled “Integrated Waste Management in Hotels.” The workshop targeted hotels in the Dead Sea region and their staff and was delivered by trainer Omaima Al-Majdhoub.
This workshop aligns with the Association’s strategic direction to promote environmental awareness within hotel establishments and to strengthen the capacity of employees in implementing best practices related to waste management. These efforts are in line with global sustainability standards and aim to improve operational efficiency across the tourism sector.
The training covered comprehensive, application-oriented topics, focusing on waste management at the source, sorting and processing mechanisms within hotels, and highlighting international best practices in waste reduction and recycling. These approaches contribute to minimizing environmental impact and optimizing resource consumption within hospitality establishments.
The workshop witnessed notable engagement from participants representing Dead Sea hotels, featuring dynamic discussions and practical knowledge exchange. This interactive environment positively enhanced the overall learning experience and supported the practical application of the concepts presented in hotel operations.
The Jordan Hotels Association reaffirmed its commitment to delivering specialized training programs across various regions of the Kingdom, with the goal of supporting the hospitality sector, improving workforce competency, and embedding sustainable practices that strengthen the competitiveness of Jordan’s tourism industry at both regional and international levels.
