The Jordan Hotels Association holds a Coordination Meeting with HR Directors

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Jordan Hotel Association held a coordination meeting with Human Resources Directors from five-star hotels to discuss several key issues related to the development of human capital in the hospitality sector.

At the beginning of the meeting, the General Manager of the Jordan Hotels Association, Mr. Mustafa Kawash, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and coordination between the Association and hotel establishments. He highlighted that such cooperation contributes to enhancing employee efficiency and improving the quality of services provided.

Kawash presented the training plan for the second half of the year, which included proposed training programs and focused on the new specialties and skills required in the labor market. He stressed the importance of setting priorities for establishments through a specially designed survey. He also reviewed the initiatives the Association is working on, including certifying training staff as accredited trainers and developing the training environment to ensure the quality of programs and protect the professional and intellectual rights of specialized personnel.

In this context, Dr. Emad Hijazin, Dean of Ammon Applied University College, delivered a detailed presentation on the Tourism Training and Employment Program launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in collaboration with the college. The program aims to train and employ 1,000 young men and women from all governorates of the Kingdom through diverse programs that align with the needs of the tourism sector, particularly in hotels and tourist restaurants.

The meeting concluded with several recommendations, most notably: continuing to hold regular meetings, re-circulating sectoral surveys, and sending details of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program to hotels in various governorates. The participants also stressed the importance of active cooperation between the Association and hotel establishments to ensure the success of initiatives and achieve tangible progress in developing human capital in the hospitality sector.
