The Jordan Hotels Association extends its warmest congratulations to the three leading hotels on the shores of the Dead Sea for being awarded the prestigious “Blue Flag” certification for the 2025 season. The announcement was made by the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS) in collaboration with the international committee:

• Crowne Plaza Jordan – Dead Sea Resort & Spa
• Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa
• Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea

This distinguished environmental achievement reflects these establishments’ commitment to the highest global standards in coastal environmental protection, as part of the “Blue Flag” program run by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and implemented locally by JREDS.

With these new additions, the total number of Blue Flag-certified sites in Jordan is now:

• 9 sites in Aqaba
• 3 sites at the Dead Sea

This international recognition highlights the efforts of Jordan’s tourism sector in embracing the principles of sustainable tourism. It reaffirms the Kingdom’s commitment to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming marine environment—enhancing the appeal of our beaches as unique global destinations.
