Memorandum Of Understanding Between "Jordan Hotels Association" And "Yarmouk University" To Exchange Experiences And Increase The Competitiveness Of The Hotel And Tourism Sector

Yarmouk University and the Jordan Hotels Association signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation, exchange of experiences and technical information, and implementation of joint projects to develop performance quality standards and increase the competitiveness of the tourism hotel sector.
The memorandum was signed by the president of the University, Dr. Islam Massad, and the vice chairman of the board of Directors of the Jordanian Hotels Association, Hussein hilalat, on behalf of the “Jordan Hotels Association”, at the University’s liaison office in Amman.
Hilalat confirmed the permanent aspiration of the “Hotels Association” to strengthen its partnerships with national institutions and universities, in order to achieve common ideas to serve Jordanian tourism, as an important tributary of the national economy, through its mission based on achieving quality and efficiency for the hotel and tourism services sector and workers in this field.
Mr. Hilalat pointed out that the importance of this memorandum with Yarmouk University, as one of the leading Jordanian universities, which has contributed to the service of the Jordanian higher education sector, and its role in education, scientific research and community service.
also, he pointed that the “Hotels Association” looking to cooperate with the Faculty of Tourism and hotels in terms of training and recruiting students through a series of activities and career days that will bring students together with the recruitment managers in the hotels participating in these career days.
Masad said that the signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of strengthening partnership relations between the Faculty of Tourism and hotels at Yarmouk University and various leading national institutions in the tourism and hotel sector, in order to enhance the college’s career by providing the opportunity for college students in general and students of “hotel management” in particular to train in hotels that are members of the Jordan Hotels Association.
He added that this memorandum is of great importance, as it constitutes a qualitative addition by enhancing the practical aspects of the students of the Faculty of Tourism and hotels, in line with the University’s vision based on deepening students ‘skills in order to achieve integration and link between scientific knowledge and applied skill in the tourism and hotel field, by facilitating students’ access to training and employment opportunities later, in addition to providing information and statistics to faculty professors and graduate students, to implement and conduct joint scientific research.
