King Abdullah II Center for Excellence and Jordan Hotels Association Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

The King Abdullah II Center for Excellence (KACE) and the Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation, and leveraging these principles to support hotel and tourism establishments across the Kingdom. The agreement also seeks to capitalize on the expertise, capabilities, and competencies available within both organizations.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence by its Executive Director, Eng. Widad Khaled Qteishat, and on behalf of the Jordan Hotels Association by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hussein Hilalat.

The areas of cooperation include assessing the organizational maturity of hotel and tourism establishments, implementing institutional capacity-building and training programs, conducting alignment workshops with excellence requirements, carrying out excellence recognition assessments, encouraging participation in the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence for the Private Sector, and organizing joint conferences, forums, workshops, and other collaborative events.

Eng. Widad Khaled Qteishat stated that the signing of the MoU reflects the Center’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of excellence and innovation, enhance institutional performance, and encourage the adoption of best practices. She emphasized the vital role of the hotel and tourism sector in supporting Jordan’s national economy and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a distinguished tourist destination.

For his part, Hussein Hilalat noted that this partnership represents an important step toward enhancing the efficiency of hotel establishments, improving service quality, and increasing the competitiveness of the sector through specialized assessment, training, and institutional capacity-building programs.

Meanwhile, Hani Dabbas, Vice Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, described the MoU as a strategic milestone in embedding a culture of excellence within the hotel sector. He emphasized that it will empower hotel establishments to improve their institutional performance, elevate service quality, enhance the guest experience, and strengthen human capital, thereby contributing to Jordan’s tourism reputation, boosting the sector’s competitiveness, and supporting the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision and sustainable development.
