As part of its efforts to support sustainable tourism and promote environmentally responsible practices across the tourism sector, the Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) participated in the Green Key Programme audit and assessment visit at the Shaumari Wildlife Reserve, alongside members of the National Green Key Committee.

The visit, conducted by the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS), the national operator of the Green Key Programme in Jordan, in cooperation with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), was held as part of the Shaumari Wildlife Reserve’s preparations to join the programme and pursue Green Key certification.

Such visits contribute to supporting tourism establishments in adopting more sustainable practices and enhancing their environmental performance, in line with Jordan’s ongoing efforts to advance sustainable tourism development and protect the environment.
