Jordan Hotels Association participated in the second conference and exhibition of recycling in Jordan
The Jordan Hotels Association participated in the second conference and exhibition of recycling in Jordan, organized by the United States Agency for International Development in partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality , the Ministry of Environment and a number of private sector associations, on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of June, 2024.
The conference was held under the slogan”Strengthening partnerships for sustainable waste management and recycling practices in the Kingdom”, with the aim of enhancing private sector-led recycling efforts and linking various actors in the sector. The conference included the participation of government sectors, private sector institutions, waste generators, recycling and material processing service providers and training organizations, presenting achievements, sharing best practices and discussing strategies to expand effective recycling practices throughout the Kingdom.
The conference witnessed rich exchange of ideas between recycling industry leaders, policymakers and participants, who discussed the latest challenges and opportunities in recycling and sustainable waste management.
The exhibition accompanying the conference also featured 62 local exhibitors from the recycling sector, reviewing innovative recycling techniques, products and services from local and international companies, highlighting developments and potential in the sector. The audience benefited from networking opportunities and discussed partnerships and cooperation to promote Jordan’s sustainable recycling practices.
