Under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Imad Hijazin, the Jordan Hotels Association, in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board and the Jordan Company for Hotel and Tourism Education, organized a national celebration today marking the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The event was attended by a number of officials and representatives from the tourism and hospitality sectors.
The celebration was attended by the Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, members of the Association’s Board of Directors, the Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board, the Director General of the Department of Antiquities, the administrative and academic staff of the Jordan Company for Hotel and Tourism Education, as well as a distinguished gathering of tourism and hospitality professionals.
During the ceremony, Dr. Hijazin affirmed that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan continues its journey of progress and achievement. He praised the vital role of the tourism sector as one of the key pillars of the national economy and emphasized the importance of partnership and cooperation among all stakeholders to further strengthen Jordan’s position on the regional and international tourism map.
For his part, Hilalat stated that Independence Day embodies the values of sovereignty, dignity, and national pride, expressing the Jordan Hotels Association’s deep appreciation for this cherished national occasion.
He highlighted the significant contribution of the tourism and hospitality sectors to supporting the national economy and advancing sustainable development, reaffirming the Association’s commitment to ongoing cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and all relevant partners. Such collaboration, he noted, will contribute to enhancing performance and elevating the quality of hospitality and tourism services in line with the aspirations of the coming phase.
The celebration concluded with a reaffirmation of the values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland and the Hashemite leadership, accompanied by prayers for the continued prosperity, security, stability, and well-being of Jordan.
