As part of its ongoing efforts to promote professional awareness and reinforce responsible practices within the hospitality industry, the Jordan Hotels Association, in cooperation with W Amman Hotel, organized an awareness lecture entitled “Recognizing Indicators of Human Trafficking and Response Mechanisms in the Hospitality Sector.” The session was attended by employees from various operational and administrative departments of the hotel.
The lecture aimed to enhance employees’ understanding of the concept of human trafficking and its associated forms of exploitation, while highlighting indicators that may signal suspected cases. It also provided guidance on the appropriate reporting procedures and response mechanisms in accordance with established protocols and relevant national legislation.
The session addressed the vital role that hotels and hospitality professionals can play in the early detection of human trafficking cases and in mitigating related risks. This can be achieved through raising awareness, fostering a culture of professional responsibility, and promoting adherence to ethical and humanitarian standards within the workplace.
The Jordan Hotels Association emphasized that such initiatives reflect its commitment to supporting member hotels in developing the capabilities of their workforce and increasing awareness of important social issues, in line with international best practices in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
