Jordan Hotels Association, in cooperation with the Makanati Project, funded by USAID and PKF-JORDAN, organized an interactive session to discuss the context of a comprehensive feasibility of childcare services for hotel staff and to identify methodologies for the development and implementation of plan strategies, an initiative of the Jordanian Hotels Association aimed at creating an attractive environment and reducing the turnover of staff in the hotel sector.
The session took place in Petra on Monday, targeting five-star, four-star and three-star hotel managers and owners
Mr. Mustafa Kawash, General manager of Jordan Hotels Association, welcomed the attendance, stressing the importance of effective cooperation between the Association and USAID, and stressed the importance of this project in supporting and strengthening the hotel and tourism sector and improving hotel services in the Kingdom and looking to achieve positive results for the benefit of all hotel facilities and their employees.
The Association also strives to enhance hotel services and improve the working environment, especially in the field of childcare for hotel employees and develop strong strategies to achieve the goals that will serve the benefit of members.
Recalling the Association’s commitment to improving the hotel sector, promoting constructive interaction and encouraging the active contribution of all participants to ensure the success of future initiatives.
For its part, the Commissioner for Sustainable Development of Petra Development & Tourism Region Authority, Dr. Fatima Al-Hilalat, appreciated the role of the Makanti project and partners and their tireless endeavours to improve the entire tourism development reality.
