On Thursday, May 22, 2025, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Jordan Hotels Association, attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board Hussein Hilalat and Treasurer and Board Member Tayeh Soufan, along with representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Perfect Solutions Company. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss cooperation mechanisms within the Green Finance Program, in collaboration with commercial banks, to support hotel establishments in Jordan.

The program is dedicated to financing green projects and products in all forms for private sector clients, including small, medium, and large enterprises, with a particular focus on supporting the hotel sector in areas of energy and sustainability.

The meeting included an overview of the program’s mechanisms and activities, as well as a discussion of the key challenges facing the sector—especially the limited responsiveness of some commercial banks to the needs of hotels during difficult periods.

The main needs of the hotel sector were also presented to EBRD representatives, with the aim of developing tailored financing projects to support hotels in various areas, including enhancing sustainability and improving energy efficiency.

This meeting represents a practical step toward enabling hotel establishments to adopt green solutions by facilitating access to sustainable financing, thereby boosting the sector’s competitiveness and aligning with global environmental trends.
