As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance professional awareness and promote responsible practices within the hospitality sector, the Jordan Hotels Association, in cooperation with The Abdali Boulevard Hotel, organized an awareness lecture entitled “Recognizing Indicators of Human Trafficking and Mechanisms for Addressing Them in the Hotel Sector.” The lecture was attended by a number of hotel employees from various operational and administrative departments.
The lecture aimed to enhance employees’ understanding of human trafficking and the various forms of exploitation associated with it, as well as to familiarize them with indicators that may point to suspected cases. It also addressed reporting mechanisms and appropriate procedures for dealing with such cases in accordance with applicable national legislation and established protocols.
The lecture further highlighted the pivotal role that hotels and their employees can play in the early identification of human trafficking cases and in mitigating associated risks by raising awareness, fostering a culture of professional responsibility, and adhering to ethical and humanitarian standards in the workplace.
The Jordan Hotels Association emphasized that such initiatives form part of its continued commitment to supporting member hotels in developing the capabilities of their human resources and raising awareness of priority social issues, in line with international best practices in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
The Association also expressed its appreciation for the cooperation of Al Abdali Boulevard Hotel and its commitment to implementing awareness and training programs aimed at enhancing employee competencies. Such efforts contribute to creating a more informed workplace that is better prepared to address issues related to the protection of human rights and the prevention of all forms of exploitation.
This lecture is part of a series of awareness and training programs implemented by the Jordan Hotels Association in partnership with member hotels and relevant stakeholders. These initiatives aim to promote the sustainability of the hotel sector, enhance the preparedness and knowledge of its workforce regarding humanitarian and social issues, and foster a culture of responsibility and commitment to professional standards.
