The Jordan Hotels Association (JHA), represented by its Chairman, Mr. Hussein Hilalat, and Vice Chairman, Mr. Hani Al-Dabbas, participated in a high-level meeting convened by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, H.E. Dr. Imad Hijazin. The meeting brought together representatives of inbound tour operators, Royal Jordanian Airlines, the Commissioner for Tourism and Youth Affairs at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and the General Manager of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) to discuss the current state of inbound tourism in light of the prevailing regional developments and their implications for Jordan’s tourism sector.

During the meeting, the Association underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration among all public and private sector stakeholders to preserve the competitiveness of Jordan’s tourism industry and reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a safe and distinguished tourist destination despite the regional challenges affecting the area.

Chairman Mr. Hussein Hilalat outlined the key challenges currently facing Jordan’s hotel sector, emphasizing the need to implement targeted, high-impact marketing initiatives focused on priority source markets. He noted that such efforts are essential to increasing inbound tourist arrivals and supporting hotel occupancy levels across all regions of the Kingdom.

Vice Chairman Mr. Hani Al-Dabbas likewise stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination among government entities and all components of the tourism industry. He highlighted the need to develop joint promotional programs that strengthen the confidence of international markets in Jordan’s tourism product and help mitigate the impact of regional circumstances on inbound tourism flows.

The Jordan Hotels Association reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its close cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, and all relevant stakeholders to develop practical and sustainable solutions that support inbound tourism, enhance the resilience of Jordan’s tourism sector, and strengthen its ability to address current and future challenges. These collective efforts will contribute positively to the national economy while supporting the long-term sustainability of hotel establishments throughout the Kingdom.
