Jordan Hotels Association and Royal Jordanian Sign Memorandum of Cooperation to Boost Inbound Tourism and Promote Jordan Globally

The Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) and Royal Jordanian (RJ) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two organizations. It was attended by Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer, Karim Makhlouf, and Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, along with board members and executive representatives from both parties.

The memorandum aims to support inbound tourism and enhance Jordan’s competitiveness in international markets through joint overseas promotional activities, participation in international tourism exhibitions and events, support for the ExploRJordan initiative, the provision of preferential airfares for JHA members, and the exchange of market data and insights related to tourism trends.

Chairman of JHA, Hussein Hilalat, stated that the memorandum represents an important step toward strengthening integration between the hospitality sector and the national carrier. He noted that the partnership will contribute to enhancing Jordan’s competitiveness, expanding the international presence of Jordanian hotels, and leveraging digital and promotional initiatives to increase demand for Jordan’s tourism product.

For his part, Vice Chairman of JHA, Hani Al-Dabbas, emphasized that this partnership comes at a particularly significant time. He noted that integrating Jordan’s hotel offerings with tourism packages and digital platforms will strengthen the country’s competitive position, while collaboration with Royal Jordanian will enhance promotional capabilities and transform the hospitality sector’s potential into direct marketing opportunities across international markets.
