The training course aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge of proper food handling practices and raise awareness of food health and safety standards in line with industry best practices, contributing to the enhancement of service quality provided to hotel guests.

The course covered a range of key food safety topics, including proper food storage and preservation methods, appropriate temperature controls for hot and cold foods, and the procedures required to minimize contamination risks and ensure the quality and safety of food products.

In addition, the training highlighted the importance of general and personal hygiene among hospitality staff and their vital role in safeguarding the health and well-being of guests. It also addressed the proper procedures for receiving food supplies from vendors and verifying their quality and safety before storage or use.

This course forms part of a series of free short training programs implemented by the Jordan Hotels Association in Petra, with the objective of enhancing the professional skills and competencies of hospitality employees, equipping them with the knowledge and practical expertise needed to meet the evolving demands of the tourism and hospitality industry, and further improving service standards across hotel establishments.
