The Board members of the Jordan Hotels Association held a meeting at the headquarters of the Greater Amman Municipality with H.E. Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, Mayor of Amman, in the presence of the municipality’s administrative team, to discuss the current status of the tourism and hotel sector in the capital, Amman, and the challenges facing the sector during the current period.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Association and Greater Amman Municipality in a manner that supports the hotel and tourism sector and improves the operational environment for hotel establishments in the capital.

Hilalat also reviewed the challenges and issues facing the hotel sector, where several matters related to services, regulations, and operational mechanisms were discussed, in addition to presenting a number of proposed solutions and recommendations to address the issues raised.

For his part, H.E. Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh affirmed Greater Amman Municipality’s commitment to continuing cooperation with the Jordan Hotels Association, noting that an agreement had been reached during the meeting to address a number of issues, while the remaining matters will continue to be followed up and completed during the coming period in coordination with the relevant authorities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Hotels Association expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Greater Amman Municipality and its staff for their continuous cooperation and support, emphasizing the importance of maintaining joint meetings that serve the tourism and hotel sector in the Kingdom.
