Amman - Jordan
Under the patronage of former Senator Eng. Abdul Hakim Al-Hindi, Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, and in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation in Madaba, a graduation ceremony was held for the third cohort of the job-placement training program for the youth of Madaba Governorate.
This program, announced by the Association in April of this year, provides training grants aimed at equipping 20 young men and women from Madaba in the field of food and beverage service, with direct employment in the hotel sector guaranteed upon completion of the training.
During the ceremony, Al-Hindi emphasized that investing in Jordanian youth is a fundamental pillar for the nation’s future, noting that the graduation of the third cohort reflects the Association’s commitment to creating quality job opportunities for members of the local community.
He explained that such initiatives are in line with the Royal directives focusing on supporting the tourism sector and highlighted the Association’s dedication to implementing programs aligned with the National Tourism Strategy 2021–2025, which seeks to qualify human resources and supply the market with well-trained, competitive talent.
Al-Hindi also expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince Foundation for its vital support in ensuring the success of the program, considering this partnership a key driver in empowering Jordanian youth and equipping them with practical skills needed in the labor market.
He further praised the distinguished role played by Ammon Applied University College of Hospitality and Tourism in hosting the trainees and providing advanced hands-on training that honed their skills and prepared them to immediately enter the hotel industry.
For his part, Eng. Saate’ Al-Hamaideh, Program Director at the Crown Prince Foundation, stated that the program offered a unique experience in empowering and preparing youth for the tourism sector, which is a cornerstone of national economic development.
He added that the training extended beyond technical skills to include strengthening discipline, professionalism, and the development of behavioral and organizational skills. It also supported participants in passing the professional licensing exam, in cooperation with the Skills Development Authority and Ammon College, providing them with an accredited certificate that qualifies them directly for employment.
Al-Hamaideh concluded by commending the partnership with the Jordan Hotels Association and Ammon College, congratulating the graduates, and wishing them success at the start of their professional careers.
