The Jordan Hotels Association holds a training course for Dead Sea hotels on waste management

The Jordan Hotels Association held a training course dedicated to Dead Sea hotels titled “Waste Management and Utilization,” with the participation of a large number of hotel employees from various departments, such as food and beverage, housekeeping, and quality inspectors. The course aimed to raise awareness on how to separate waste such as metals, food, paper, and plastics, and to reduce all types of waste.

The course included key topics on waste separation techniques, reducing waste volume, and utilizing recyclable materials. Emphasis was also placed on the role of employees in supporting sustainability within hotels by applying the skills learned to ensure a cleaner and more efficient environment.

This course is part of the Jordan Hotels Association’s efforts to enhance environmental sustainability in the hospitality sector and to achieve best practices in resource and waste management. Through these courses, the Association aims to equip employees with the knowledge and tools necessary to reduce negative environmental impacts and improve the environmental performance of hotels, in line with global trends toward sustainable tourism, particularly in vital areas like the Dead Sea.
