The Cleaner Production Unit of the Royal Scientific Society held a training workshop for the Jordan Hotels Association staff.
The Cleaner Production Unit of the Royal Scientific Society within the project “Improving the efficiency of resources in three stars and less hotels” in collaboration with”Jordan MSME promotion project”, implemented by GIZ and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The training workshop was held on Wednesday, 1/5/2024, for the Jordan Hotels Association staff to determine the project objectives and to define the most outstanding achievements for participating hotels in the project.

The project aims to improve resource efficiency (energy, water and materials), and reducing tailings production through applying resources efficiency principles for three-star hotels and less through the applying field resource efficiency assessment in 10 hotels, and to develop a national electronic assessment tool to assess targeted hotels’ resource efficiency performance based on specific references in this sector, In addition to raising the awareness of hotels, service providers, hotel management students and related entities about the concept of resource efficiency, project results and the tool developed for evaluation.
The Jordan Hotels Association aimed to provide the best services to the sector and members.
