The Jordan Hotels Association team participated today in the activities of the “Clean Up the World 2024” campaign, which was launched under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, with the slogan “Let’s Make Aqaba Green.”

This participation aimed to enhance environmental preservation efforts and raise awareness about the importance of collective action to protect natural resources.

The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Nayef Hamidi Al-Fayez, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, in the presence of Aqaba Governor Mr. Khaled Al-Hajaj and heads of security agencies. The campaign witnessed the participation of more than 800 individuals from various sectors, including government, security, environmental, tourism, and cultural sectors, as well as 22 environmental schools from both public and private schools in Aqaba.

The campaign included a beach and underwater cleaning event at the Al-Mamlah site, where approximately 750 kg of waste was collected, reflecting the importance of collaboration between the community and various organizations in environmental preservation efforts.
