Prince Mired and Senator Al-Hindi discuss enhancing the inclusion of people with disabilities in the tourism sector

His Royal Highness Prince Mired bin Raad bin Zaid, President of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, met with Senator Abdulhakim Mahmoud Al-Hindi, Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association and Chairman of the Tourism and Heritage Committee in the Senate.

During this important meeting, ways to enhance cooperation between the Association, the tourism sector, and the Higher Council were discussed, along with exploring new opportunities to strengthen the inclusion of people with disabilities in tourism. This represents a strategic step towards a more inclusive and brighter future.

The meeting also addressed the importance of improving tourism infrastructure to meet the needs of this vital segment of society and the necessity of developing training programs for tourism sector employees to raise awareness about the significance of accessible tourism.

Prince Mired emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure a suitable and accessible tourism environment for all.

For his part, Senator Abdulhakim Al-Hindi confirmed that the Association welcomes all forms of cooperation that serve the interests of people with disabilities and enhance their tourism experience.

At the end of the meeting, Senator Al-Hindi expressed his great optimism about the potential to achieve the goals of this collaboration, noting that this meeting with Prince Mired marks the beginning of a new journey towards enhancing Jordan’s position as a leading destination for inclusive tourism, with a focus on the importance of collective efforts to make Jordan a place that welcomes everyone and offers rich and enjoyable tourism experiences.
